About the Saki Monkeys:

Adult male saki monkeys are covered in thick black shaggy hair, whilst females and juveniles have a speckled grey / brown coat.  Only adult males have the white face mask.

Habitat and Distribution

Saki monkeys are found high in the trees of South American rainforests, in southern Venezuela and north-east Brazil.

They are usually found in small family groups of four or five animals.  They usually have one baby; only one twin birth has ever been recorded.

Conservation Status: Endangered
