About the Chickens

Male chickens (cockerels) are brightly coloured with fleshy red wattles and combs on their head, females (hens) are smaller.

Habitat and Distribution

Chickens are domesticated from jungle fowl; which are from south-east Asian rainforests.

Family Information

Chickens live in a group called a flock; they have a pecking order with some birds being dominant.
