Become a Zoo Keeper for the Day

Help our Keepers with a variety of exotic animals, as well as a host of other furry and feathered friends.

Our Keeper for the Day scheme is a unique treat for anyone who is mad about animals. Discover what it is like to feed, clean and care for a variety of furry and feathered friends by working alongside one of full time keeping staff. This value for money opportunity gives a real insight into the working lives of keepers and a realistic impression of the work that is involved on a day to day basis. The day runs from 10:00am to 3:30pm and includes a Drusillas sweatshirt, a certificate, a badge and an information pack about the Park. Becoming a Keeper for the Day costs £160 for term time weekdays or £180 for weekends or school holidays. A special winter offer of £120 is available for term time weekdays in Jan, Feb, March, Oct, Nov and Dec only.

Close Encounter Animal Experiences

Our 'Keeper for a Day' scheme has proved so popular over the last two years that we've added more animal experiences to enable you to get up close and personal with some of our favourite residents. The Close Encounters are for between 30 and 40 minutes and involve feeding the animals and helping one of our keepers with part of their daily routine. Choose from a range of experiences including:

• 12:45pm Lunch with the Lemurs
• 2:45pm Meerkat Meeting
• 3:15pm Tea with the Racoons or Beavers
• 3:45pm Penguin Feeding
• Snuggle up to a snake
• Tickle a Tarantula

Close Encounter Experiences are £65 during term time weekdays or £75 for weekends and school holidays. Club Members receive a 20% discount; prices are £52 during term time weekdays and £60 during weekends and school holidays.
