Visit Santa at Drusillas Park
The festivities start in earnest this weekend at Drusillas Park, as Father Christmas takes up residence in his cosy Christmas Cottage daily until Tuesday 23rd December.
Visit him and see Mother Claus or the Elf at the most magical Winter Wonderland in Sussex. The Cottage is open each day from 10.30am until 4.30pm (last admission to the Park at 4pm). For a small additional charge of £6 children can meet Santa and receive an early Christmas gift.
Also joining in the festivities for the first time at the zoo, Father Christmas will be accompanied by two of his reindeer. Tinsel and Twinkle will met visitors daily in the Events Arena and will remain at the Park until Tuesday 23rd December, building up their strength before making their deliveries on Christmas Eve.
During this time, Drusillas will also be lighting up their Winter Wonderland Illuminations. Synchronised to festive music, the dazzling display turns on daily at 3.30pm with a spectacular light show at 4.30pm. Young revellers can expect to see a host of magical creatures in the ice-capped kingdom, adding some extra sparkle to the festive season until Sunday 4th January.
Plus visitors will also have the opportunity to Hug a Husky. The two cuddly canines will met guests between 1pm and 5pm in the Ice Cave throughout the weekend, then daily from 19th - 23rd December.
With all this, as well as the usual animal magic, oodles of adventure play, a Thomas & Friends™ train and Hello Kitty Secret Garden, Drusillas has certainly got Christmas all wrapped up.
